There is an area in the Arctic called “the 1002 area” and it is about the size of Ireland (1.5 million acres). It’s believed to house about a billion gallons of oil, but the dilemma is that it is in the heart of the Arctic National wildlife Refuge (ANWR). Home to some of the last large herds of caribou, the grizzly bear, Arctic Fox, and hundreds of other wildlife species, plants, and organisms, ANWR is an Arctic jewel….but in these days of high oil prices and political turmoil, ANWR is also one of the largest environmental controversies.
At Alaska Stock, we understand the need for current ANWR photos. We have provided you with this gallery of some of our best!
Additionally, Alaska Stock can provide you with help in obtaining a photographer for an ANWR photo assignment.
