It is not mandatory that you use our online ordering system to place your order, you may call us at 1-800-487-4285 and we'll be happy to conduct your transaction over the phone. The information below will give you the assistance you need to conduct online pricing and ordering of images.

Alaska Stock offers two types of images to purchase, Royalty-Free and Rights-Managed. See our help guide if you need help clarifying what is right for your project. You must be a registered user in order to purchase or price images online.

Pricing a Rights-Managed Image

Use our rights-managed price calculator to price rights-managed images. You must be a registered user to access our price calculator. The price calculator covers many types of uses, but not all. If you do not see your specific type of use listed, please contact us for an accurate quote by filling out our quote request form or call us at 800-487-4285.

There are four ways to access our price calculator to price rights-managed images online.

1. From the thumbnail page, you may click on the icon and the price calculator will pop up. You must not have pop-ups blocked.

2. From the preview page click "calculate price."

3. After adding an image to your shopping cart, you can click "Compute pricing" or "Re-compute pricing."

4. From the images menu, select "Price RM Images."

After checking out, the screen will display your "Order & Use Rights Receipt." This receipt provides your order confirmation number as well as the "DOWNLOAD NOW!" option for each image purchased.

Rights-Managed Price Calculator:

Rights-Managed images: You must fill out all required fields in the pricing calculator. More detailed information on using the pricing calculator is set out below.

Usage:You must choose the general usage for the image from several main categories (advertising, corporate, displays, etc.)

Specific Use/Media: Second, choose the media in which the image will be used. This is a more specific categorization of how you will use the image.

Distribution Area: Choose whether the image will be used locally, regionally or nationally. You must also provide the name of the location where it will be used if you wish to use it locally or regionally.

Image size: Choose the image size in relation to your final work. This is not necessarily the size of the final piece. For example, if you're creating a full-page newspaper ad and the image will take up 1/4 of that ad, then you should choose '1/4 page.' If you are running a 1/2-page ad but your image will take up the whole ad, then you should choose 'full page.'

Placement: Choose where the image will appear in a printed or electronic publication: inside, back cover, etc.

Circ./Press Run/Locations: If you're producing a printed piece, this should be the total number of copies that will be printed. If the image will appear in a newspaper or magazine, this should be the circulation of one edition of the periodical. For placement in multiple publications, the average circulation per insertion should be used.

Duration of Image Use:Length of license specifies how long the licensed reproductions of an image will be in circulation. For example, a brochure that will be sent to a different group of people every month for a year has a duration of one year.

Start Date: Choose the date on which you wish the image license to begin.

Industry: Please choose the industry in which the photograph will appear.

End Client: Please type the name of the client for which this photo is being used.

Description: Please enter a brief description of the usage of the photo, such as "¼ page on the inside of the brochure" or "used as a collage of 5 images for a full page ad" etc.

Pricing a Royalty-Free Image

Royalty-Free image prices will appear as a selection in the shopping cart area and on the preview page. You will need to choose from our three options when you get to the shopping cart area or preview page. The prices for our royalty-free images are:

Low Res (5x7 72dpi) $99
Medium Res (5x7 300dpi) $219
High Res (9x12 300 dpi) $289

To Purchase an Image Online:

Add the image to your order by clicking the shopping cart icon under the image you wish to purchase or the "add to shopping cart" icon on the preview page.

After all the images you wish to purchase are in your cart check to be sure the rights you wish to purchase are correct as well as the file size you desire for royalty-free images. If it is not correct, click "Re-compute pricing" or change the file size for royalty-free images.

Once you have checked your order for accuracy be sure to read our "ALASKA STOCK LICENSE AGREEMENT". After reading and agreeing to our agreement, check the box "I agree to the Alaska Stock License agreement above" then click the "proceed to checkout" button. All of your contact information is filled out for you. Please confirm that it is correct. Then place your billing information in the "payment by credit card" or the "Payment by Open Account" fields. The Open account option will only show if you have previously submitted that information to us and we've approved your account by giving you an account number (Click javascript:GoToOpener('../formaccount.asp')Open Account to apply). Our checkout screen is secure as we use the latest encryption technology to ensure that your information is kept safe while in transit.

Again you have an opportunity to read our "ALASKA STOCK LICENSE AGREEMENT". This box must again be checked before final checkout.
