Download an entire lightbox (into ZIP file)

Now, "Recognized Image Buyers" can download all or selected images directly from any of your lightboxes for low-res or high-res comp size use.

Alaska Stock is pleased to provide this convenient way for our clients to access a quantity of image scans (in various resolutions) directly from a lightbox into one file. These images are NOT to be used/published without first paying the negotiated usage fee. The resolution of image scan available is dependant on your client status in our database. If you would like access to higher resolution images than what is listed at the bottom of this screen, please contact your account executive or contact us and ask for access to higher quality scans.

This feature is for our clients who have registered and been upgraded to a "Recognized Image Buyer." Get there by navigating to the "Download Lighbox Images" page found in the "My Lightbox" drop down menu on the menu bar. If you are logged in but you don't see this menu item, we have not yet upgraded you to a "recognized image buyer." CONTACT US to be upgraded.

What is a ZIP (.zip) file?
Compression software such as a WinZip will automatically "compress" several files selected by the user into one ".zip" file. Or, as with this download feature, the software will "un-pack" files that have been compressed into one. You must have the software installed on your computer in order to un-pack and view the images downloaded using this feature. There are several software options available. One of the most popular is WinZip.

Unpacking individual files from a ZIP file is as simple as double-clicking on the zip which opens the zip software. The software will then provide a window to save or "extract" the files to the location of your choice on your computer.

Download Lightbox Images into a ZIP file
  1. Check the box next to the image(s) you wish to download OR choose "Select All." You may also choose "Select All" and then deselect any you do not wish to download.
  2. At the bottom of the page, select the image size you would like to receive.
  3. Then click the "Download Now" button. The images are put into a ZIP folder. A pop-up will come up and ask you whether you want to "Open" the folder or "Save" the folder. If you select "Save," the entire ZIP file will be saved to the location of your choice on your computer. If you click "Open," you must have ZIP software installed which will then open the zip file, un-pack the files, and walk you through steps to save the individual image files to your computer. We receive notification of the download.
  4. The download time will vary depending on the quantity of images selected and the resolution selected - please be patient if you've selected a large amount of images and/or high-resolution scans. If you experience slow download time, you may consider downloading less images at a time.
NOTES: In the rare case that you attempt to download an image(s) that is not available in the resolution you select, a pop-up will appear and note the image number(s). The download will continue but without those images. In that case, please contact us with the image number(s) that was/were not downloaded and we will email the image(s) directly to you.
Royalty-Free images are NOT available for this download service.
TECH SPECS:

  • File Format downloaded is a Zip file titled AKSTOCK_Lightbox_Name.zip

  • Low-res comps are (5"x7" 72 dpi, 500 px) (Available only to recognized image buyers)

  • Hi-quality comps are 11"x17" @ 72 dpi (Available only to regular AK Stock clients)

  • Hi-res Images are 11"x17" @ 300 dpi (Available only to qualified AK Stock clients)

  • Maximum images that can be downloaded from one lightbox- 100 low-res comp, 50 hi-res comp, 25 hi-res images.

    • This service is provided as a service to our clients. These images are not to be used/published without first paying the negotiated usage fee.
