Stock Photography Account Executive - Outside Sales

Alaska Stock Images has an immediate opening for a full-time, experienced, Business-to-Business, outside-sales account executive. We are looking for an outgoing, organized, detail-oriented, results-driven creative person who is computer literate and possesses strong customer service skills. The successful applicant will be responsible solely for developing new business including prospecting new clients. The position includes day-to-day client contact selling stock photography for editorial projects, advertising, retail products and corporate use. This is a people-person, relationship-building position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Increase existing client base by cold-calls and other methods.
- Increase sales by contacting & selling to past customers.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients via phone, e-mail or in person.
- Provide accurate information on Alaska's people, wildlife and geography.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting and selling products or services to other businesses.
- Strong communication skills: written and oral.
- Excellent customer service skills required.
- Advanced computer skills required: Word, Excel, database workings, internet and email.
- Prefer experience with the arts, stock photography sales/marketing, and a working knowledge of Alaska geography, native culture, history, recreation, cities/towns, and wildlife.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow safe and proper procedures in the course of daily work.
- Be familiar with advertising, graphic design services in order to discuss with clients.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of the company's products.
- Other tasks and duties based on the needs of the business.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
- Position primarily performs functions in a well lit office environment.
- Position may require bending, stooping and kneeling for brief periods of time.
- Position may require standing for extended periods of time.
- May require lifting objects up to fifty pounds.

We market the use rights to their stock photos for commercial applications such as brochures, advertisements, magazines and textbooks.
